Notice on Highway Surface Defects: The following list includes common and sample road surface defects and deficiencies.

1	Bleedy pavement surface	Bleeding on the treated crack sealing portion		As observed, there was evidence of bleeding on the treated crack sealing part. All such locations must sealed off from secondary effects.
2	Spillage	Rigid Spillage on the Carriageway surface		Clear the rigid spillage from the pavement surface. Ensure that the carriageway remains clear of any foreign material.
3	Rutting	Severely rutted pavement surfaces		On approaches of the major junction in all four directions, the pavement has severe rutting. Making it inconsistent for any rider. The distress will rectify as per specification.
4	pavement distress	Severely rutted pavement surface		Shall rectify the severely distressed pavement surface.
5	Potholes	repeated formation of potholes at RUB		Repeated restorations or repairing potholes is noticeable at RUB. Determine the underlying cause. And, put in place effective measures to prevent such recurring tasks.
6	Pothole	Severe pavement distress		Rectify the severe pavement distress by put in place comprehensive repair measures.
7	Slippage	Surface distress		Recently, an overlay was carried out on the project corridor . But, the inspection revealed some pavement distress. Please address these issues and make the necessary corrections as soon as possible. You can submit compliance reports by January 1, 2024. We have enclosed photos of the distress locations for your quick reference. Photos of the distress locations are herewith enclosed for your ready reference.
8	Slippage	Pavement Deformation		The Corridor project recently underwent overlay. But, an inspection revealed deformation at km 10.000 LHS. Address these distresses and rectify them under the guidelines outlined in clause 4.4.2 of IRC 82. You can submit a compliance report within a week. We have enclosed photos of the distressed locations for your quick reference.
9	pavement distress	The pavement surface is severely rutted.		Severe rutting, alligator cracks, and raveling surfaces visible on pavement surface. Repairs for such must adhere to specific specifications.
