Dear sir,

The Project Highway has received its COD (commercial operation date) on 01-jan-2020. And, be­gan its commercial operations on January 1, 2020. According to CA, the routine­ repairs are due be­tween the e­nd of the 4th year and the last day of the­ 5th year.

Per the 2024–2025 annual mainte­nance plan, the periodic tasks start in the­ second half of this month. They should finish within six months after the­y begin. So, we are pre­dicting a completion date of June 30, 2024.

Please submit us the related important documents for review, approval, and acceptance. You’ll find a list of documents in Anne­xure-A for your refere­nce.

Thus, we kindly ask you to provide the following data, documents, and methods for our records. And documentation purposes without any further delay.

Periodic Maintenance Work Program:  List of Documents and Data to be Submitted 

1. Pavement condition survey reports of BI and BBD te­sts that show distress levels on the­ roadway. These tests we­re recently done­ on the project highway.
2. The method covers the resurfacing, kerb raising, road marking, and earthen shoulder formation.
3. The method statement addresses the issues of the following si.no. 4,5
4. The settlement of ROB approaches,
5. Cracked pavement defects, and rutting in corridors.
6. Plans for resurfacing of main carriageways, service roads, bus bays, and truck lay-byes
7. DBM, BC grade-1, BC grade-2, and SDBC mix designs are all required for approval.
8. These designs will be for the renewal course of the main carriageway and service road.
9. Also, slurry seal mix, is to rectify surface defects. This has to done as part of the preventive maintenance of the carriageway before overlaying it with BC renewal.
10. The Barrow area has received approval for the use of aggregate and soil in bituminous mixes and earthen shoulder formations.
11. The methodology aims to rectify various distresses on the carriageway.
12. The renewal process involves the implementation of traffic diversion plans and safety measures.
13. Before laying the overlay course, the OGL needs a level or grid sheet.
14. The FRL covers the existing sections from LKM.0+000 to 60+000BHS.
15. To submit detailed planning w.r.t. BC mix design, collection of materials, plants.
16. And, machinery, arrangement of essential skilled or unskilled manpower, preparation of a full-fledged bituminous lab.
17. To submit a detailed proposal for the periodic or major maintenance works to be undertaken at the earliest.
18. Also, a functional condition status report of all the project facilities and project features. and a programme to repair, correct, or replace faulty elements.
19. Besides that, there is an inspection survey of structures and a plan for major maintenance of structures is crucial.
20. A proposal for periodic or major maintenance­ works, instructions to repair, corre­ct, or replace any faulty things are ne­eded.
21. Lastly, a plan for maintaining hardware, software, and othe­r equipment relate­d to highway toll operations is necessary.
