Dear Sir,

With reference to the review of drawings and as per Clause 8.1 of the four Laning manual, please find the comments from our Senior Bridge Design Engineer.

For manufactured items, you have to submit the details pertaining to the product/process/system covering Inter-alia to the IE for review and comments.

(a) Name of manufacturer and name of product/process/system;

(b) General features of the product/process/system along with specifications and standards adopted for the product/process/system.

(d) Details of projects where the product/process/system has been successfully used;

(e) Limitations, if any;

(f) Acceptance tests and criteria;

(g) Installation and maintenance procedure and schedule; and

(h) Performance warranty

Hence submit all the above data/ details and on drawings Movement capacity of joint to be specified.

Note about “g” – expansion gap shown in cros section Z-Z- to be modified.
A table of ambient temperature vs. gap to be adjusted to be included.
Concessionaire’s designers have to check the submission for suitability for the specific bridge as also movement capacity of joint.

So you are being instructed to comply our recommendations for our necessary certification.
