Subject: DBM laying over the Deck Slab of Minor Bridge Km 18+525-reg

Dear Sir,

With reference to subject location, without completion of Bridge miscellaneous items like Drainage spouts, Buried type expansion joints and mastic asphalt layer, you have carried out the laying of DBM over the widened Deck Slab.

This is not advisable and good industry practice for quality assurance to lay DBM as wearing course instead of BC over the Bridge Deck and before laying wearing course over the bridge deck complete all the specified miscellaneous items i.e. Drainage spouts, Buried type expansion joints and 25mm thick mastic asphalt layers.

Letter on slow and dead progress in structure works

The Concessionaire

Subject: Slow Progress of vehicular underpass structures.

Dear Sir.

We noticed during our recent site visits that you have not started the construction of The VUP/LVUP’s structures at site as on date at following chainages

Ch.13+600

Ch.35+200,

Ch.47+800 and Ch.53+360

You are unable to start the work due to shortage of agencies/manpower/shuttering plates. As you aware it may take long time to complete the retaining walls and these balance 4 Nos VUP/LVUP structures in the village limits which is affecting approx 13 km length of road.

Also, 6 no of VUP’s are currently under progress upon the project highway at isolated locations. These structures progress are not up to the mark. It is that the progress of these structures are dead slow in terms of project milestons and project completion schedules of CA.

As per discussions with you at our office today, we are not agreeing with your contention that the work was stopped by the local public at all villages.

Concessionaire has to mobilize the resources at site /start the works immediately to complete the project on schedule time.
